Gao Weigang, born in China in 1976, now lives and works in Beijing. Gao’s artistic practice has shunned the growing impact of the globalization trend by focusing on an individualized narrative based on his life experience. Gao often draws attention to conflicting realities in human-society and human-nature relationships. His use of media ranges from painting, video, installation to performance. His masterful use of gold as a medium has garnered significant attention in the art world.

Gao's focus on the passage brings the viewer into the contemplation of time, redefines it from a linear progression to an exponentially of possibilities through the top of the arches.
